Caldwell Gun Club Safety Regulations

To ensure you have a safe and enjoyable visit, please become familiar with our safety rules….

Ear and Eye protection is required at all times at the CGC shooting range.
Treat every firearm as if it is loaded. Always point the barrel in a safe direction.
SHOTGUNS ONLY at CGC.
Only 7 1/2 , 8, 8 ½, or 9 shot may be used on the range. No extra heavy loads for fun shoots or meat shoots. Absolutely NO rifle slugs or buck shot.
Shotguns may only be loaded while in a shooting station. NO walking with a loaded shotgun. Actions must be open except when in a station.
Only one shell in gun for singles and handicap. Two shells for doubles, 5 stand and Sporting Clays.
Shotguns must be fired from the shoulder only.
Shoot only at authorized targets. Hunting is not permitted.
Do not pick up hulls from the trap line while shooting. When hulls hit the ground they become Club property.

Authorized personnel only downrange. Please ask Club Directors or employees for assistance with clay target fields and machine adjustments.
No Alcohol or Drugs before or while shooting. Once you drink you are done shooting.
No speeding on ATV’s while on the course.
Safety is Caldwell Gun Club’s first priority.
